The Waste Contract Management Group is responsible for managing waste contracts for the Isles of Scilly, with delegated powers from the Full Council. It can make decisions on allocating spending and authorising variations or amendments to waste contracts, specifically within the scope of DEFRA grant funding. However, any contract changes with costs exceeding original budgets must be referred to the General Purposes Committee or the Policy and Resources Committee. The group operates as a sub-committee of the General Purposes Committee and reports its actions back to it.
