The Director of Public Realm, Climate Change and Transport approved the procurement strategy for 5kW electric vehicle charging points on 22 September 2026. The decision approved a joint procurement strategy with the London Borough of Camden to appoint a charge point operator for a minimum of 600 lamp column electric vehicle charge points. This includes the receipt of £932,500 in LEVI capital grant funding and £123,000 in capability grant funding, and the approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between Camden and Islington.
