Selection and Member Services Committee

The Selection and Member Services Committee is responsible for developing the role of councillors, reviewing the council's constitution and committee structures, and making recommendations for changes to the Council. It also handles appointments and nominations to various bodies, including school governors, appeal panels, and outside organisations. The committee monitors expenditure on member allowances and expenses, oversees member accommodation and support services, and agrees arrangements for member attendance at conferences. It also determines requests for petition reviews and receives reports from sub-committees and working groups.
