RESOLVED that:
- the final decision statement by the Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO) regarding avoidable delays and failures in planning enforcement of the Council, at Annex 1 of the report, be formally received;
- the Focus Report on Planning Enforcement by the LGSCO, at Annex 2 of the report, be noted;
- the suggested changes to the Local Enforcement Plan as set out in paragraphs 23-27 of the report be approved;
- authority be delegated to the Executive Director Place, in consultation with the relevant Portfolio Holder to make the necessary amendments to the Local Enforcement Plan; and
- the actions outlined in paragraphs 20-22 to reduce the active caseload of reported breaches awaiting investigation be noted.
