Purpose

Based on an approval to waiver Kingston
Council’s Contract Regulations 3, 5 and 8, in accordance with
Regulation 6.3(b) of the Council’s Contract Regulations, to
enable the direct award of contracts to General Practitioners (GP)
and Pharmacies as agreed on 4 August 2023, the Commissioning
Governance Board approved a procurement strategy for GP and
Pharmacies Public Health Services, the result of which is the
awarding of a number of individual contracts below
£1,000,000, as per the Council’s scheme of delegation.
The awarded contracts will be valid for
an initial period of 3 years from 1st April 2023 to 31 March 2026,
with the option to extend by a further period of 2 years until 31
March 2028.
