RESOLVED that –
 

1.   
The marketing, assessment and scoring process used to identify and
select a preferred operator for the Ancient Market Square, Market
House and street market be noted;
 

2.   
Based upon the assessment outlined within the report, the
appointment of the preferred bidder identified in Exempt Annex 1 be approved;
 

3.   
The principle of granting a lease in respect of the site edged red
on the plan at Annex 2, comprising Ancient Market
Square, Market House and the street market contained therein, be
granted to the preferred bidder on the terms outlined in Exempt Annex 1; and
 

4.   
Delegated authority be granted to the Executive Director Place in
consultation with the Portfolio Holders for Economic Development
and Leisure and Assets to negotiate, finalise and enter into the
lease and associated documents necessary to secure the operation of
the market from the 1st April 2025 on terms broadly in line with
the principles outlined in this report.
