Purpose
A
query has been received relating specifically to a small parcel of
land adjacent to the Southport New Road in Tarleton the land does
not currently show as part of the highway extent on our Maintained
at Public Expense (MAPE) digital layer, and as such an electricity
company is requesting us to grant an easement to allow an
electricity cable to be laid through land which is listed as a
freehold held by Lancashire County Council.
The recommendation of the report is that the extent of the highway
recorded at Lancashire County Council be amended to reflect the
original 1939 dedication document (see Appendix A).
The areas shaded in pink on Appendix E will be amended to show as
Highway Extent on our digitised MAPE layer, thus matching the
dedication agreement set in December 1939.
The area shaded in purple will remain outside of the highway
extent.
