Purpose

This report presents an application from a
local organisation requesting £2350 towards commissioning a
local artist to work with the school children to create a mural
from the Local Member Grants Scheme.

Content

County Councillor Terry Hurn considered and
rejected a Local Member Grant to Friends of Baxenden School towards
the cost of commissioning a local artist to work with the school
children to create a mural.
 
The reason for the rejection is because County
Councillor Terry Hurn is allocating funding for other organisations
within his division area and does not have sufficient funding to
consider the full amount requested.
