Purpose

The Cabinet currently approves the appointment
of county council representatives to various outside bodies every
four years following a county council election.
 
Attached at Appendix 'A' is a comprehensive
schedule of the various outside bodies to which the county council
appoints representatives, which the Cabinet Member for Resources,
HR and Property has been consulted upon.

Content

The Cabinet approved the recommendation(s) as
set out in the report with the following amendments:
 
 
(i) 
County Councillor Brian Moore be appointed to the Burnley Town
Board; and
 
(ii) 
County Councillors Luke Parker, Maria Jones and Warren Goldsworthy
be appointed to the Central Lancashire Strategic Planning Joint
Advisory Committee, with County Councillors Hannah Whalley, Ellie
Close and Simon Gummer to be reserves.
 (iii) 
County Councillor Azhar Ali OBE be appointed to Nelson Town Board
and the Nelson Town Deal.
