Purpose

In exercise of powers under
Sections 32 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as
amended), it is proposed to vary the charges for the parking of
motor vehicles on the Preston Bus Station Multi-Storey Pay and
Display Car Park. Due to the proposed increase in charges, a
Cabinet decision is required.
 
Following formal consultation,
it is proposed to make an Order increasing the tariffs, whilst
tidying up and formalising the existing Disabled Parking Bays,
Parent and Child Parking Bays and Electric Vehicle Charging Points,
to allow for effective enforcement.  The
Order also includes formalisation of the signed Height
restriction.
