The Environment, Economic Growth and Transport Scrutiny Committee of Lancashire Council decided on 11 September 2025 to approve recommendations regarding flood risk management and emergency response. The committee resolved to consider assessing resources for flood risk management schemes, working with the Environment Agency on infrastructure changes, sharing funding formula information, and presenting the council's response to the funding formula consultation. They also agreed to increase marketing of the Flood Hub, review its emergency advice, share the trash screen and gully clearing schedule, and share information on alternatives to sandbags.
