Purpose
Proposed amendments to the Highways, Bridges
Maintenance Capital Programme
Executive Summary
As part of the normal process of service delivery, the approved
highways capital programme now requires amendments to meet emerging
priorities and allow the effective delivery the Programme.
Head of Service is asked to approve the reallocation of funds
within the above programme. Details of the proposed reallocation
are:
Transfer £45,000 from completed project ID 16419 25/26
Chadswell Retaining Wall 32730 - T1 to project ID 16280 25/26
Healey Dell 30850 - T1.
The reason for the above reallocation is that additional work is
required to complete project 16280 because the existing foundation
has been extended as it was not wide enough to allow the parapet
wall to be constructed and maintain enough width in the
carriageway.
The reallocations are between projects in the same programme and
there is no change to the total approved budget. The changes will
allow the total number of live projects to be reduced, completed
projects to be reconciled and available funds released to support
delivery of the programme. There are transfers between projects in
different programme years. This is to ensure that funds are used
effectively by supporting project delivery.
Content
Kirstie Williams,
Interim Head of Service Highway Operations and Design,
on behalf of the Matt Townsend, Director of Highways and Transport, took a
decision to agree the changes to allow the programme to be
delivered effectively within the total budget.
