Purpose

The Transport Asset Management Plan covers the
period 2014-2030 in three phases (Phase 1 2014-2020, Phase 2
2020-2025, Phase 3 2025-2030) and is the council's highway asset
management strategy. Asset condition data is used to assess
progress at the end of each phase in order to set the priorities
for the following phase.
 
It is proposed to review the original
Transport Asset Management Plan and produce a strategy rebranded as
the Highways Asset Management Plan for Lancashire, to reflect the
current priorities and changes to the delivery of highway
maintenance in Lancashire.
 
This is deemed to be a Key Decision and the
requirements of the council's Cabinet procedure rules (Standing
Order C18, Consideration of Key Decisions) have been complied
with.
