Purpose
The purpose of the proposed order is to
support the improved amenity in Colne Town Centre, with improved
pedestrian access and linkage around Colne. The introduction of No
Waiting at Any Time along Colne Lane, Craddock Road, Nineveh Street
and Market Place will give better access for vehicles by
restricting illegal parking, creating a safer driving
experience.
Consultations
Formal consultation was carried out between 17 October 2025 and 14
November 2025 which included advertising in the local press and
notices being displayed on site. Divisional county councillors were
consulted along with the council's usual consultees and the
consultation documents posted on the council's website.
Following formal consultation No Objections were received.
