Purpose
The NHS Health Check (NHS HC) is a prevention
programme which aims to reduce the risk of a heart attack, stroke
or developing some forms of dementia in people aged 40-74. The
national ambition (by 2028) for the NHS HC programme is that 75% of
the eligible population should have an NHS HC at least once over a
five-year period. This decision is in relation to the contract.
