Purpose

This report presents an application from a
local organisation requesting £780 towards providing early
intervention family support to families living within the Hoghton
with Wheelton and Moss Side & Farington divisions, who are
experiencing challenges such as social isolation, low confidence,
financial pressures, and difficulties with parenting and
children’s emotional wellbeing, from the Local Member Grants
Scheme.

County Councillor Andy Blake considered and
rejected a Local Member Grant to Home-Start Central Lancashire
towards the cost of providing early intervention family support to
families living within the Hoghton with
Wheelton and Moss Side & Farington
divisions, who are experiencing challenges such as social
isolation, low confidence, financial pressures, and difficulties
with parenting and children’s emotional wellbeing.
 
The reason for the rejection is Councillor
Blake has no funding remaining in his Local Member Grant budget for
this financial year.
