Purpose
The purpose of this report is
to seek the LCCAs approval for the budget for the 2026/27 financial
year and the Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) for 2027/28. In
seeking approval, the report also requests the LCCA's endorsement
of refreshed financial policies, including the 2026/27 Treasury
Management Strategy, to ensure the LCCA’s financial
governance remains robust and aligned with best
practice.
In considering the 2026/27
Budget the LCCA is asked to:
i.
Note and have regard to the advice of the Chief
Financial Officer in relation to the robustness of the budget and
estimates contained therein and the adequacy of reserves (Appendix
'A' - Annex 'B')
ii.
Note that the LCCA budget does not require
consultation as it is not a levying authority at this
stage.
