Full council record
Purpose
The proposals are being pursued as part of a
Section 278 agreement under the Highways Act 1980. These proposals
are being funded fully by the developer and are linked to the new
adjacent housing development and associated planning
conditions.
Due to the location of the new site access, it is proposed to
remove the existing speed cushions on Lea Road and introduce a new
junction table at the access point.
The junction table will highlight the new site access; self-police
the speed limit along Lea Road in the interest of highway safety
for all users and help mitigate against the impact of increased
traffic resulting from the new development.
