Purpose
The proposed Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)
forms part of a wider package of highway improvements designed to
enhance traffic flow, road safety, and active travel
infrastructure. Creating or enhancing shared-use paths to promote
walking and cycling.
These interventions will enhance the safe and efficient movement of
all road users. It is hoped that these proposals will support and
encourage sustainable modes of transport, in line with both local
and national transport policy objectives.
Relocating the existing bus stops. This is to allow the buses to
pull in and out safely and allow effective enforcement. This will
help to minimise disruption to general traffic and improve
accessibility
Consultations
For Bus Stops - Formal consultation was carried out between 12
September 2025 until 10 October 2025 which included frontagers to
the proposed location of the Bus Stop being notified and notices
being displayed on site. Divisional county councillors were
consulted along with the council's usual consultees.
Following formal consultation No Objections were
received.
