Purpose
On 5 March 2026 Cabinet approved the commencement of the procurement exercises identified within the Procurement Pipeline 2026/27 report. The Procurement Pipeline report established a forward programme of known procurement activity, reducing the need for individual procurement reports to Cabinet and strengthening the link between budget planning, commissioning intentions and commercial activity.
Since Cabinet approval of the Procurement Pipeline, a number of additional procurement exercises have been identified which require Cabinet approval before procurement activity can commence. The procurement exercises included within Appendix 'A' are therefore supplementary to the Procurement Pipeline 2026/27 report previously approved by Cabinet and require approval before commencement.
At the conclusion of the procurement process, any award of contract will be made under Section 9.52 (51) of the county council's Scheme of Delegation to Officers.
This is deemed to be a Key Decision, and the requirements of the Council's cabinet procedure rules (Standing Order C18, Consideration of Key Decisions) have been complied with.
Decision
The Cabinet approved the recommendation(s) as set out in the report.
