This sub-committee is part of the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Police and Crime Panel and handles initial complaints about the police.

It decides if a complaint needs formal resolution, if it should be sent to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC), or if it can be resolved informally. The sub-committee can also arrange meetings to resolve complaints informally, acting on delegated authority from the main Panel.
