About

The Eastbourne Borough Council Conservation Advisory Group is an informal advisory body that provides expert advice on planning applications and works affecting heritage assets. It advises the Planning Committee and the South Downs National Park Authority on applications within Conservation Areas that have a material effect, and on applications affecting Listed Buildings. The group also comments on matters considered by Cabinet or the Planning Committee that significantly impact Conservation Areas, listed buildings, or heritage assets. Membership includes up to five councillors not on the Planning Committee, alongside co-opted advisors with heritage expertise.
