About

The Lewisham Licensing Committee is responsible for overseeing the council's licensing functions under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005. It delegates many decisions regarding personal and premises licences, club certificates, and temporary event notices to sub-committees. The committee also considers objections and makes recommendations on licensed premises, including their impact on crime and disorder. Certain significant policy decisions and matters with a borough-wide impact are reserved for the main committee.
