Decision
It was MOVED, SECONDED and RESOLVED:
- To note the content and scope of the Inspectors’ Final Report.
- To recommend to Full Council that it adopt and publish the submitted Lewisham Local Plan, as amended by the main modifications set out in the Inspectors’ Final Report (attached). These being necessary to secure the soundness of the Local Plan. In addition, upon adoption, the Council will also publish an adoption statement and Sustainability Appraisal in line with regulations 26 and 35 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012.
- To recommend to Full Council that all additional modifications seek to correct minor errors, including typographic, spelling, punctuation, formatting, grammar and purely factual mistakes. It is recommended that that delegated authority be provided to the Director of Planning, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Inclusive Regeneration and Planning, to consider any necessary additional modifications required to correct minor errors prior to publication of the final desk topped published version of new Local Plan; and
- To express the Council’s thanks to the Inspectors, and the Examination Programme Officer for their positive approach across the examination process.
