 It was MOVED, SECONDED and
RESOLVED:

 

•                    
To approve a reduction in price in
the bulky waste collections service from a flat rate of £42
for up to four items to just £5 per item including mattresses
(reduced from £14), and £25 per fridge/freezer (reduced
from £60).

•                    
To approve an in principle change
to the opening hours at the Household Waste Recycling Centre
(HWRC), subject to consultation with affected
staff. 
The proposed new hours are
Wednesday to Sunday from 8:00am to 3:30pm, with the site closed on
Monday and Tuesday.

•                    
To approve that authority to
implement the final decision on the HWRC opening hours be delegated
to the Executive Director Place, following the outcome of the staff
consultation.

•                    
To agree approval to pilot a free
bulky waste amnesty in two wards, aimed at promoting awareness of
the new charging structure and encouraging increased use of the
online booking system.
