Decision

 Resolved- That Mayor & Cabinet:

1)                 Note the overarching progress on the Lewisham Town Centre Improvement Programme

2)                 Approve the award of the Lewisham Library Operator concession contract to Blue Garage Ltd for a period of five years with the option to extend for up to a further 5 years at a value of £10,704,000 over the full contract period.

3)                 Delegate authority to the Executive Director for Place, in consultation with the Director of Law and Corporate Governance, to enter into the contract and lease documentation and exercise any extension options

4)                 Approve a variation up to the amount set out in Part 2 to the contract with Rooff Construction Ltd, originally awarded at £6,532,085, to meet the identified additional works, risk pricing and programme prolongation costs arising through delivery of the Lewisham Library refurbishment.

5)                 Approve a contingency provision as set out in Part 2, to be drawn down only where required through the Council’s contract change-control arrangements.

6)                 Approve a variation up to the amount set out in Part 2 to the contract with Architecture 00, originally awarded at £570,375, to meet the identified additional services, design requirements and programme prolongation costs associated with completion of the Lewisham Library refurbishment.

7)                 Approve a further contingency provision as set out in Part 2, to be drawn down only where required through the Council’s contract change-control arrangements.

8)                 Delegate authority to the Executive Director for Place, in consultation with the Director of Law and Corporate Governance, to agree the final terms of these variations within the maximum values approved above.
