Decision

Resolved- That Mayor & Cabinet:

1)                 Note the satisfactory performance of the Council's existing insurance arrangements and the continued challenging conditions within the insurance market.

2)                 Approve the available two-year extension option for the Council’s insurance contracts from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2028 up to a value of £5.8m.  

3)                 Delegate authority to the Executive Director for Corporate Resources, in consultation with the Director of Law and Corporate Governance and the Group Manager, Insurance & Risk, to agree and finalise the contract extension, including renewal terms and premium, and complete all associated contractual documentation in accordance with the terms of the long-term agreements, subject to the value set out in paragraph 2.2.
