Decision

The Cabinet:

1. 1 Discussed and approved the Q4 Year 2 Delivery Plan outturn of the Lichfield District 2050 Strategy and Q2 Key performance indicators (KPIs) report as set out in Appendix A and Appendix C.
2. 2 Reviewed and approved the Housing, Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy Delivery Plan at Appendix B.
3. 3 Reviewed and approved the Year 3 Lichfield District 2050 Delivery Plan at Appendix D.

Reasons for the decision

1.1  This report provides the year-end performance position for 2025/26 against the Lichfield District 2050 Year 2 Delivery Plan, the council’s corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the Housing, Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2025-2030.

1.2  The Lichfield District 2050 Delivery Plan for Year 3 (2026/27) is included as an appendix.

1.3  2025/26 has been a significant year of delivery for Lichfield District Council. Despite increasing demand for services, continuing financial pressures, national policy changes and preparations for Local Government Reorganisation, the council has continued to make progress against the ambitions set out within Lichfield District 2050 whilst maintaining strong operational performance.

1.4 We continue to set ambitious and stretching targets designed to challenge ourselves and maximise outcomes for residents, communities and businesses. Whilst not every target has been achieved, significant progress has been made across all four strategic ambitions.

Alternative options considered

Cabinet can choose to approve a different approach to performance reporting; however, this would delay approval and adoption.
