About

The Audit Committee is responsible for providing independent oversight of the Council's governance, risk management, and financial reporting. It comprises seven councillors and two independent persons. The committee's role is to ensure robust audit, assurance, and reporting arrangements are in place to support good governance and financial standards. It reviews the adequacy of the risk management framework and internal control environment, oversees internal and external audit, and reviews financial reporting and annual governance processes.
