About

The Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee, made up of eleven councillors, reviews and scrutinises the council's services related to transport and highways. This includes looking at public transport, how the highway network is managed, and new transport investments like road improvements.

As a scrutiny committee, it does not make executive decisions but provides oversight and makes recommendations to the council on these matters. Its full responsibilities are detailed in the council's constitution.
