• The management of safety and conservation risks
relating to condition deterioration.

This Statement of Decision concerns Lincoln Castle Wall
Repair Project – Phase 2 pre-construction (as described in
the approved Executive report)

Alternative options considered

Do nothing - This option is not recommended as future
repair works are needed to manage safety and
conservation risks. Risk impact includes:-
• impact on public safety
• potential partial/ closure of the site,
• impact on events, public and Crown Court access
• non-compliance with conservational statutory
duties.

prolonged stonework exposure and further condition
deterioration, a subsequent increase in volume of repai
