South Eastern Area Planning Committee

Constituted on the basis of geographical representation and not subject to political balance arrangements.   Functions and responsibilities:

·              Development Control – the making of decisions or representations on planning and other applications falling to be considered by the District Council as a Local Planning Authority;

·              Enforcement of Planning Control;

·              Public Rights of Way Orders;

·              Tree Preservation Orders;

·              Input into Planning and Licensing Committee from the area perspective on other matters.   The Committee Terms of Reference are part of the Council’s Constitution and can viewed at Part 3b.
