The Economy and Regeneration Scrutiny Committee examines issues impacting Manchester's economy and its residents, working with the Council and partners to maximise economic benefits and provide protection during less prosperous times. It does not make decisions but can recommend improvements to how the Manchester Strategy, a shared vision for the city, is delivered.

Key areas of focus include economic growth, strategic transport, employment and skills, tourism, and neighbourhood regeneration. While the public cannot speak at meetings unless invited, they can suggest topics for investigation.
