Planning Committee

The Planning Committee is responsible for determining most planning applications within Manchester. While it usually makes the final decision, in exceptional cases, it can recommend actions to the full Council. The committee aims to consult widely, allowing applicants and objectors a limited opportunity to speak. Decisions made by this committee affect residents and developers involved in planning proposals. Confidential matters are discussed separately, with the public excluded.
