Purpose
For Manchester City Council to
receive extension funding for the WorkWell and Economic Activity
Trailblazer from Greater Manchester Combined Authority and NHS
Greater Manchester. To agree continuation of existing provision as
appropriate to final award of funding.
Decision
The Executive:-
(1) Agree
that Manchester City Council receives approximately
£1,771,313 of grant funding from Greater Manchester Combined
Authority to continue delivery of the Get Britain Working Economic
Activity Trailblazer (ETB) into 2026/27.
(2) Approve
the continuation of existing Trailblazer provision up to 31 March
2029 subject to providers meeting funding criteria and a further 2
years of funding being made available by Department of Work and
Pensions and Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
(3) Agree
that Manchester City Council receives approximately £934,272
of grant funding from NHS Greater Manchester/Greater Manchester
Combined Authority to continue delivery of WorkWell into
2026/27.
(4) Approve
the continuation of existing WorkWell provision up to 31 March 2029
subject to providers meeting funding criteria and a further 2 years
of funding being made available by Department of Work and Pensions
and Greater Manchester Combined Authority
(5) Delegate
authority to the Strategic Director for Growth and Development to
manage the detailed application and award of WorkWell and
Trailblazer grants up to 31 March 2029.
