Approval of terms for disposal of land to facilitate affordable residential development.

Decision

The Strategic Director (Growth and Development) approves the disposal of land at Elsa Road, Manchester, M19 3JG, by way of a 999-year lease to facilitate the delivery of an affordable housing development.

There will also be an option for the freehold to be disposed of upon practical completion of the proposed scheme. The site is vacant and the disposal will support the delivery of a proposed scheme of c. 50 affordable homes, helping to address identified housing need within the area.

Market sale disposal was discounted through the Strategic Asset Management Programme (SAMP) process, as delivery of affordable housing achieved a higher scoring outcome against the Council's assessment criteria.
