Purpose
Award contract for the provision of Office Relocation and Furniture Recycling Services
Decision
The City Treasurer has taken a decision in relation to the awarding of a contract to provide Office Relocation and Furniture Recycling services following a competitive tender exercise. The tender was managed in accordance with the Council’s normal procurement procedures.
The services include relocation services, disposal & recycling of unwanted furniture, equipment, and office waste, and temporary storage solutions for furniture and equipment, following a competitive tender exercise.
Due to the specialist nature and the relatively low frequency at which the services are required, the council is unable to provide these services in-house.
All procurement options were considered. Given the value of the contract, length of the contract a full tender exercise was undertaken to ensure that the market was tested, and the award of the contract provided value for money and met all the evaluation criteria.
