About

The Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee examines and reviews services and policies that affect children and young people across Medway. Its responsibilities cover a wide range of areas including early years education, schools, youth justice, social care, and children's health services.

This committee's role is to scrutinise the effectiveness and impact of these services, providing recommendations for improvement to the council. It does not make executive decisions but offers oversight and challenge to ensure services meet the needs of Medway's young residents.
