- Approves the new Play Area Improvement Strategy for council owned play sites.
- Approves the play area improvements - renewal and replacement fund programme
- Delegates to the Director for Housing and Communities (Deputy Chief Executive) and the Section 151 officer, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Corporate Governance, Waste and Environmental Services to amend and update the play area renewal and replacement spending programme to reflect the needs of replacing the equipment on a risk-based approach.
- Delegates to the Director for Housing and Communities (Deputy Chief Executive) to enter into the necessary legal documentations to award contracts to suppliers in each financial year in line with the programme.
- Approves the addition to the capital programme in 2026/27 of £150,000 split £122k to Special Expenses MM and £28k to General Expenses.
- That the expenditure of £122k on Special Expenses MM be funded form the special expenses play area renewal and repair fund
- That the £28k expenditure on general expenses be funded by a contribution from the Corporate Priorities reserve
- That the Chief Executive exercise his delegation to draw down £28k form the Corporate Priorities Reserve to fund the expenditure on general expenses
