About

The Development and Planning Applications Committee is responsible for considering and deciding on planning applications within the London Borough of Merton. It reviews proposals for new developments, extensions, and other building works, assessing their impact on the local area. The committee's decisions are informed by planning policies, officer recommendations, and input from various stakeholders, including residents, statutory consultees, ward councillors, and the applicant. While the committee makes decisions on planning matters, the provided text details the process for public participation and speaker registration, rather than the committee's decision-making remit itself.
