About

The Cabinet is responsible for the majority of the Council's day-to-day decisions, excluding those delegated to officers. It comprises the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Members, each overseeing specific service areas.

The Cabinet develops and proposes policies and strategies for the Council's approval, manages the Council's resources within its policies and budget, and recommends the council tax level. It also reviews matters referred by the Scrutiny Committee, with key decisions published in its Forward Plan.
