Planning Committee

The Planning Committee guides Monmouthshire Council's policies on Town and Country Planning and acts as the Planning Authority. It determines planning applications under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and related legislation. This includes applications for mineral extraction or waste disposal (unless minor), those with an Environmental Impact Statement, significant departures from local policy, or those with implications extending beyond their immediate area. The committee's decisions affect development within the council's jurisdiction.
