About

The Cabinet is responsible for discharging all executive functions of Newark and Sherwood District Council. It is made up of seven portfolio holders, including the Leader and Deputy Leader, and the Leader of the largest opposition group also sits as a voting member. The Cabinet makes key decisions on council strategy, finance, housing, economic development, environment, heritage, culture, arts, health, wellbeing, leisure, public protection, and community relations.
