Purpose

The purpose of the Rough Sleeping Prevention
and Recovery (RSPARG) grant issued by the Ministry of Housing,
Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) is to enable local
authorities to continue vital single homelessness and rough
sleeping services, to support individuals sleeping rough, at risk
of sleeping rough, or at risk of returning to rough sleeping.

Approval is being sought for Newcastle City Council to enter into
homelessness funding grants with the MHCLG for 2025-26, to allocate
funding in accordance with grant conditions and agree the proposed
spending plan.
