Purpose
The purpose of this Delegated
Decision is to seek approval to enter into a Grant Funding
Agreement from the North East Combined Authority (NECA) to provide
£231,967 revenue funding to the Council for the Newcastle
Pathways Project in order to develop the Work & Thrive
Employment Partnership.
Content
It is recommended
that:
There is approval to
enter into the Grant Funding Agreement for £231,967 revenue
funding from NECA for the Newcastle Pathways project;
Authorisation is
delegated to the Assistant Director Legal Services, in conjunction
with the Deputy Chief Executive to complete the necessary
documentation in relation to the grant funding agreement; and
Authorisation is
delegated to the Economic Advisor for Inclusive Employment to agree
a minor variation to the project with NECA, including awarding
sub-grants to Jobs, Education, and Training (JET) and Connected
Voice to deliver elements of the project, as outlined in paragraphs
3.6, 4.4 and 5.2 of this report.
