Decision

Decision

For the reasons set
out in the report and its appendices Cabinet RESOLVED to Agree
to:

i)
Note the progress made during Q2 2024/25 in delivering the Newham
Transformation and Improvement Plan. This includes the Building a
Fairer Newham (BaFN) Corporate Delivery Plan, the LGA Peer
Challenge Action Plan, and the Transforming Newham for the Future
Plan, as outlined in this report and its appendices.
ii)
Note that this quarterly performance report would be further
developed for the next cycle to include progress updates on the
Directorate Transformation Plans.

Alternatives
Considered

a)
The alternative to not publishing current information would be a
continuing lack of transparency about the Council’s
performance. That would undermine the ability of members and
residents to understand how well the organisation is performing,
and whether resources are being used effectively.
