Decision
For the reasons set out in the report and its
appendices Cabinet RESOLVED to Agree:
i)
The establishment of a Framework for Community Opportunities with a
term of four years with the option to extend for a further four
years - at an estimated annual value of up to £28.2m
(£225.6m over the eight years). For Newham the annual value
is up to £4.7m (£37.6m over the eight years).
ii)
Delegate authority to the Corporate Director for Adults and Health
in consultation with the Lead Member for Health and Adult Social
Care to admit suppliers onto the Framework, following a competitive
tendering procedure, during the life of the Framework.
iii)
Delegate authority to the Corporate Director for Adults and Health
in consultation with the Lead Member for Health and Adult Social
Care to approve commencement of mini-competitions under the
Framework and award contracts (including direct award) once the
Framework is established. And an annual Impact and Progress report
to be presented to the Mayor and Cabinet at the relevant Strategic
Board of the Council in line with its internal governance
arrangements.
