Purpose

This paper sets out the Executives response to
Overview & Scrutiny Committee’s call-in of the Cabinet
decision on 24th of July 2024 relating to the Royal Victoria Docks
Bridge.
 
It responds to Oveview & Scrutiny comments. A subsequent paper
at the same Cabinet report will then make new recommendations
regarding the Royal Victoria Docks Bridge

Decision

For the reasons set out in this report and its
appendices, Cabinet RESOLVED to Agree:
 
 
i) 
To Note the recommendations referred for reconsideration from
Overview & Scrutiny Committee’s call-in of the Cabinet
decision on 24th of July 2024 relating to the Royal Victoria Docks
Bridge; 
 
ii) 
To Note the Executive’s Response to the recommendations made
by Overview and Scrutiny as set out in this report;
 
iii) 
That following revoking of the decision made at Cabinet on the 4th
of June 2024, the mayor and Cabinet will then be recommended to
approve an alternative financial allocation towards the costs of
the RVDB in a separate agenda item at the September 2025 Cabinet
meeting.
