The Cabinet decided on 20th July 2023 to approve commencing a tendering exercise for capital works at Newham, East Ham, and Atherton Leisure Centres, with an estimated cost of £4 million. The award of the contract will be delegated to the Corporate Director of Resources in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Finance. These works include mechanical and electrical replacements and upgrades to ensure the centres remain usable and compliant.
