Purpose

The Council spends c£21m on Supported
Living and Single Vulnerable Homeless services per
year.  In June 2022, Cabinet agreed to
establish a Supported Accommodation Dynamic Purchase Vehicle, which
covers a range of accommodation based services including Supported
Living and Single Vulnerable Homeless through different
categories.  This work is progressing at
pace with
 
To allow this work to progress, cabinet agreed
the principle of extending existing arrangements for 12 months
within the 2024/25 Cabinet Budget report (February
2024).  This paper recommendations
delegating authority to the Corporate Director of Adults and Health
to finalise the details

For the
reasons set out in the report and its appendices Cabinet RESOLVED
to Agree to:
 
i) 
Extend the
contracts listed at Appendix A as required for a maximum period
each of 12 months as set out in this report; and
 

ii) 
Delegate to
the Corporate Director of Adults and
Public Health in consultation with the lead member for
Health and Adult Social Care:

 

· 
all matters
related to the extension and direct award of the contracts at
Appendix A;

· 
award of
contracts for additional provision as set out at paragraph
3.12
 
iii) 
Note that
individual placements during the 12 month maximum period will be
made in accordance with the Council’s financial scheme of
delegation.
